According to a company announcement carried by markets.businessinsider.com, Peer To Peer Network (OTC: PTOP) is expanding its technology platform with an updated MobiCard offering and Synaptic Quant, an AI-powered market-intelligence and trading platform developed by PTOP Intelligence Labs. The relevant part for traders is not another colored line on a chart: the company says Synaptic Quant packages AI Conviction Scores, real-time market catalysts, options activity, dark-pool information, trade plans, and historical signal data. The announcement also cuts the Elite package to $20 per month from $40 and offers new users a 21-day free trial. That makes inspection cheaper; it does not make the output an edge.
A product stack, not a backtest
Synaptic Quant is being positioned as a way to process market-moving information and surface potential trading opportunities. Its Simple Mode is intended for users who do not already know the trading vocabulary. The Elite tier adds trade plans, options sweeps, dark-pool information, live indicators, position sizing, and risk-related information.
That is a lot of dashboard. It is not evidence of expectancy. The announcement does not document an independent backtest, a fixed out-of-sample test, a benchmark, or a live track record for the Conviction Scores. It also does not explain how the scores are calibrated or how the various inputs are weighted. A score can be useful without being predictive; those are different failure modes.
MobiCard is the less interesting product for this audience, but it explains the corporate context. The company describes it as a digital business card that combines professional information, contact details, social links, and other content in one profile. It has a newly updated dedicated website. That is a networking tool, not a validation of Synaptic Quant’s signal quality. Keeping those claims separate is basic noise control.
Put the score under a fixed test
PTOP is highlighting AI Conviction Scores and related case studies to demonstrate the potential of its market-analysis approach. I would treat those case studies as sales material until the underlying sample is available. The first audit should answer basic questions: What is the score’s definition, what is its sample size, which instruments and timeframes produced it, and what counts as a successful signal?
Next, measure the things that matter to a trading system rather than the things that make a screenshot look good: mean-reversion behavior, regime dependence, drawdown, turnover, and result stability after fees and slippage. Run a fixed, predeclared sample. Do not quietly discard losing signals because a catalyst narrative looks persuasive after the fact. If the score only works when a human edits the inputs, the system is not the same system other users are testing.
The feature list also creates a confluence problem. Catalysts, options activity, dark-pool information, and live indicators may describe the same event through correlated lenses. More context is not automatically more information. The right test is incremental value: does the Conviction Score improve outcomes after the simpler inputs are already present?
Trial access, not trial by marketing
At $20 per month and with a 21-day free trial, Synaptic Quant is easy to sample. It is not a substitute for a test protocol. I would log every alert with its timestamp, instrument, score, cited catalyst, options or dark-pool context, and planned entry and exit. Then measure expectancy, hit rate, drawdown, and the number of trades required before drawing a conclusion.
The practical conclusion is deliberately plain: PTOP has announced a broader technology strategy and a more accessible entry price, but the trading product still needs independent validation. MobiCard’s expansion says something about the company’s product direction. It says nothing about whether Synaptic Quant has a durable signal edge. For now, I would audit the score, not trade it.
